Jim Parsons won the Emmy for lead actor in a comedy series Sunday for playing ultra-geeky Sheldon Cooper on the huge CBS hit "The Big Bang Theory." Parsons beat ouf fellow nominees Alec Baldwin ("30 Rock"), Jason Bateman ("Arrested Development"), Louis C.K. ("Louie"), Don Cheadle ("House of Lies") and Matt LeBlanc ("Episodes") for the award.
